Spirit Week September 21-25

Spirit Week kicks off on Monday, September 21!

To demonstrate our CA P.R.I.D.E. Star Way, we will be collecting donations for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life being held in Norwood Young America on October 3. This is our first of many opportunities for students to be service oriented.  Students who donate $3 will be allowed to wear jeans on Monday, Sept. 21  along with their college t-shirt (which should be back from our vendor at the end of next week).  Adults in the building will donate $5 for jean day. Cash or checks (payable to ACS) are acceptable.
Homeroom teachers will collect money and you can send payment at anytime, but no later than 9/21.  Students who do not participate will be expected to be in uniform bottoms.
.
The remainder of Spirit Week looks like this:

Tuesday: Favorite Color Day
Wednesday: Pajamas or Comfy Clothing

September 8-11

We had a great first week of kindergarten! The students are doing so well adjusting to school life.  Now that the first week of kindergarten is done, we are excited to see the students come into school and walk down the hall by themselves.  This is an important part of their learning independence and getting them ready for their future school careers.  It is such a sense of accomplishment for them to be able to grow more independently each day.
